Become a Hato Volunteer — Connecting Communities Through Handcrafts

Through simple handcrafts, let’s venture into the community together to bring companionship and warmth to schools, NGOs, senior centers, and nursing homes.

We welcome anyone with a kind heart and a willingness to contribute to join us and do something meaningful through crafting.

1. Our Mission

Hato Workshop has always believed that crafting is not just about making things, but also a way to connect people.

We organize handicraft activities in schools, social welfare organizations, elderly homes, or community centers, allowing participants to complete projects in a relaxed and happy atmosphere while feeling accompanied, encouraged, and cared for.

Volunteers are not just helpers; they play an important role in our activities.

Your participation can help children engage more deeply, make seniors feel more at ease, and ensure the entire activity runs smoothly and warmly.

2. Target Audience

We mainly support the following organizations and activities:

- School-based activities for primary and secondary schools.

- Community events organized by non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

- Senior centers, nursing homes, and rehabilitation institutions.

- Community centers, parent-child events, and other occasions requiring companionship and assistance.

3. Volunteer Responsibilities

Volunteers will mainly assist with the following tasks:

- Assisting the instructor in distributing materials.

- Tidying up workstations and activity supplies.

- Accompanying participants to complete their projects.

- Providing simple demonstrations or hands-on assistance.

- Encouraging participants to finish their work to increase their sense of engagement.

- Assisting with cleanup and recycling of materials after the event.

All activities will be led by Hato instructors, so volunteers do not need professional teaching experience.

We will provide brief activity guidelines to ensure everyone can participate with confidence.

4. Schedule and Arrangements

Activities generally last 1 to 2 hours, depending on the content.

Some short-session activities last about 40 to 60 minutes, while standard activities take about 60 to 90 minutes.

Volunteers can sign up based on their own availability, and we will match you with suitable activities.

5. Who Should Join

We welcome the following individuals to participate:

- Enthusiastic, patient people who are willing to interact with different age groups.

- Student volunteers.

- Working professionals.

- Retirees.

- Parent-child volunteers.

Even if you have no crafting experience, it doesn't matter; as long as you are willing to help and accompany the participants, your contribution is valuable.

6. Benefits for Volunteers

By participating in Hato volunteer services, you can gain:

- Volunteer hour records.

- Experience in participating in community events.

- Opportunities to learn basic workshop facilitation and assistance skills.

- Opportunities to interact with different age groups.

- The experience of working with the Hato team to contribute to the community.

7. Safety and Guidelines

All activities are coordinated by Hato instructors.

Before attending, volunteers will receive a brief activity introduction, including safety reminders, key assistance points, and details to note regarding the participants.

If the target audience consists of the elderly, children, or individuals with special needs, we will make more appropriate arrangements accordingly to ensure a smoother experience.

If needed, we can provide proof of attendance or service hour records based on the activity.
