Workshop Introduction:

Originating from the Han Dynasty, Chinese sachets blend traditional Chinese medicinal herbs and fragrant plants. They not only emit a long-lasting scent but also possess properties to ward off evil, dispel dampness, refresh the mind, and soothe the spirit. In this workshop, you can personally select Chinese herbs like mugwort, eupatorium, and cloves to sew into exquisite sachets. Whether placed in your bag, car, or by your bedside, they bring daily therapeutic relief.

Materials at the workshop are sorted into aesthetic small containers, looking neat and pleasing. Combined with tablecloths and Chinese-style ornaments, a rich cultural atmosphere is created. Every step is perfect for photo-taking, and the finished product makes a perfect souvenir or gift.

The instructor will first introduce the origins of sachets and the simple benefits of common Chinese herbs (e.g., repelling insects, relieving stress, improving sleep), followed by a demonstration on how to fill the herbs and adjust the portions. Afterward, participants are free to mix and match different herbs and scents, choose their preferred sachet bag style, and complete a practical and thoughtful sachet at their own pace.

Even without any sewing or handicraft experience, you can easily complete one. The finished product can be hung on doors, in wardrobes, or by the bed, or gifted to family members and elders. It is especially suitable as a themed craft for festive events (such as Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, senior activities, or family days).

Event Procedure

Workshops generally begin with a demonstration and PowerPoint presentation by the instructor, after which participants create their own items following the steps. The instructor will move around the venue to provide assistance and advice at any time.

If the project requires a step-by-step approach, the instructor will guide the process in segments to ensure every participant can easily follow the pace and enjoy the joy of creating.
